As many of you have hear the Crossfit Games Open will be starting this week. What is the open exactly? It's 1 workout announced for 5 weeks. The workout comes out on Thursday night and we will be doing the workout in class on Fridays. Right now we have 27 people signed up. You can sign up until Monday and still submit your score. For the workouts you will have a partner that is counting reps and you will record the scores after you complete the workout on the Games.Crossfit.com. If you aren't signed up for the Open, we encourage you to but it is not required. You will however still complete the workout during class. There is a new scaled division for this year. For example, toes to bar would be scaled to knee raises and sit ups as well as a lower barbell weight.
Since sores will have to be in by Monday at 5pm, we will host a re-test of that weeks workout on Sunday's at 1pm. There is a class on Front Desk for this and if there are no clients signed up, coaches will not be there. So pleas sign up for class ahead of time so we can plan for the re-test. You are allowed to enter new scores by the deadline.
Why should you do the open? I feel like there are many reasons, the community, cheering on your Crossfit family, working towards goals and doing things for the first time in a workout. Last year we had first double unders, chest to bar pull ups, deadlift PRs and much more. It's a chance to push yourself and your abilities and see what you need to work on more.

Other news: Please look at the Front Desk schedule for class times and to sign up for classes. Wednesday we only have 5:30pm Crossfit (no 6:30pm class) and at 7:00pm is Olympic lifting with David.
