New site...some new (better functioning) stuff

Hey people, you've probably noticed the website looks a little different. If you didn't, well, then you are not very observant, but that's ok. 

As I continue to tweak the new design, I am working on uploading a ton of photos from past competitions  WODs in various places & events.

Check it out here or use the navigation bar at the top to find "Photos".

At some point in the near future, we will be taking some photos for the header of each webpage. IF you are interested in flaunting what you've got (and why wouldn't you be?!), talk to me (Lani). We want to feature as many people's muscles as possible!

Thanksgiving Tradition "Murph"

For time

1 mile Run
100 Pull-ups
200 Push-ups
300 Squats
1 mile Run

Partition the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats as needed. Start and finish with a mile run. If you’ve got a twenty pound vest or body armor, wear it.

In memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005. This workout was one of Mike’s favorites and he’d named it ‘Body Armor.’ From here on it will be referred to as ‘Murph’ in honor of the focused warrior and great American who wanted nothing more in life than to serve this great country and the beautiful people who make it what it is.

 

Alright CFB Crew!  Join us Thanksgiving Day for the Hero WOD Murph at 8 am!  Start the day off right as you know you will be eating and drinking more than enough later.  

Another note is that Friday will not have the regular schedule.  There will be a wod at 8 am only for Black Friday.  Get in early and then head out to the crowded malls.

The Foster Five

 

The CFB crew went to CrossFit Rockford today in support of an amazing little girl Kate Foster.  She is such an inspirational person.  Check out the video below to just get a glimpse of how a positive attitude will change your perspective.

The CrossFit community is an amazing thing.  We were able to bring a group of people together today, work out, and have fun raising money to support a family that has been through so much.  

And we even got to meet a CrossFit Legend, Elizabeth Akinwale!

We will be going to a fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 17th to support a young member of the CrossFit Community at CrossFit Rockford. Please join us.

We will carpool from CrossFit Beloit, leaving at 8AM on the 17th. CrossFit Beloit will be closed on this day.
